Confessions of a Travel Advisor: I Packed It Somewhere...
📖 Confessions of a Travel Advisor📖
Because after planning hundreds of vacations,
I've learned one thing... travelers are wonderfully predictable.
(And yes...I'm guilty of almost all of these too.)
"I Packed It Somewhere..."🧳
It always starts the same way.
You're sitting at the gate.
Boarding starts in ten minutes.
You suddenly think...
"I'll just grab my headphones."
Simple enough.
Except...
Your headphones have apparently entered the Witness Protection Program.
The Carry-On Treasure Hunt Begins
You confidently unzip your backpack.
No headphones.
No problem.
They're probably in the front pocket.
...Not there.
Middle pocket?
...Nope.
Laptop sleeve?
...Negative.
At this point you've emptied half your bag onto the airport floor.
People are politely pretending not to notice.
You are sweating.
And boarding hasn't even started.

"I Know I Packed It..."
This is where every traveler becomes absolutely convinced they're right.
"I KNOW I packed it."
"I literally remember putting it in here."
"I even remember thinking, 'I'll put it here so I don't forget where it is.'"
Which, ironically...
Is exactly why you forgot where it is.
Bonus Points If You're Looking for...
Let's be honest.
It's never something unimportant.
It's always one of these:
Passport.
Boarding pass.
Phone charger.
Headphones.
Wallet.
Medication.
Lip balm.
Snacks.
That one pen you needed for customs.
Somehow your bag can contain 47 random receipts from six months ago...
But not the one thing you need right now.

The Airport Floor Has Seen Things
Can we all agree that airport floors have witnessed absolute chaos?
One shoe.
Two hoodies.
A half-eaten granola bar.
Three charging cables.
A Kindle.
Travel-sized shampoo.
A mysterious sock.
Somehow everything comes out of the bag...
Except the thing you're looking for.
The Plot Twist
After ten minutes of searching...
You finally give up.
You zip your bag closed.
Stand up.
Reach into your hoodie pocket...
And there it is.
The headphones.
The lip balm.
The passport.
Whatever you were looking for.
It was with you the entire time.
Congratulations.
You've officially completed another round of Airport Hide-and-Seek.

My Personal Story
I'll admit it...
This happens to me more often than I'd like.
Part of it is my AuDHD brain.
Part of it is being excited about the trip.
Part of it is carrying enough snacks, chargers, and "just in case" items that my bag becomes a tiny black hole.
The funny thing is, I spend hours researching vacations and creating organized itineraries for my clients...
Then somehow lose my headphones in my own backpack.
Travel has a wonderful way of keeping us humble.
And honestly?
I wouldn't have it any other way.

Travel isn't about being perfectly organized.
It's about laughing at the little moments.
The overstuffed backpacks.
The frantic searches.
The forgotten chargers.
The airport treasure hunts.
Because years from now, those tiny mishaps become part of the stories we tell.
And somehow...
They're always the stories that make us laugh the hardest.

🩷My Travel Take🩷
I've learned that the best travelers aren't the ones who never lose anything.
They're the ones who can laugh when they do.
Because sometimes the little travel mishaps become our favorite vacation stories.
Adventure doesn't look the same for every family, and that's exactly what makes it beautiful.
